Recently, I have explored and had personal encounters with those engaged in a virtual world life, there are many such sites around all having similar activities. It begs the question, 'Why', whats wrong with your real life that you need this escapism to vituality! Where you can live in a house, have a job, social life, family, friends and even sex!
There have been reports of actual divorces for people whose marriages have fallen apart because a real partner is having a relationship with someone else, albeit, in a 'virtual world'. When these things cause such a catastrophic breakdown in what was/is a 'stable' long term loving relationship, it begs the question, what is wrong with our society, that we need to escape from reality?
I am placing a link in this post which takes the reader to a media article which has a lot to say about such matters, however, one only has to do a gentle 'google' to find a huge level of former partners, who never thought that they would be ditch for a virtual non-entity like an avatar!
